KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials A Great Non-Stick Cookware Set

Kitchenaid Gourmet Essentials hard Anodized Non-Stick Cookware Set Review. This particular set includes a 1 quart saucepan with lid, a 2 quart saucepan with lid, a 3 quart saucepan with lid, an 8 quart saucepan with two loop handles and lid, an 8 inch skillet, a 10 inch skillet and a 12 inch sauté pan with a lid and a helper handle..

Why don’t we Have a look in Much more Detail

I really like the design of this collection – the charcoal grey color selection is so sensible and the matte finish is visually up-market. However, what I truly like is the fact KitchenAid has gone to the effort of incorporating pieces that you’ll definitely use. Numerous cookware sets contain plenty of pieces and this appears like you are receiving great affordability but some of those pieces you’ll never use. It isn’t very likely you will find yourself doing that with this particular KitchenAid collection.

What exactly is Included

The actual set contains all of the significant pieces which includes:

-1qt saucepan with lid

-2qt saucepan with lid

-3qt saucepan with lid

-8in skillet

-10in skillet

-8qt stockpot with lid

-12in sauté pan with lid

Just how much Should You Spend on the Kitchenaid Gourmet Essentials 12pc Set

The recommended store price for this set is around the $500 mark…yikes! I’ve certainly not spotted it anywhere close to that price. You shouldn’t be paying anymore than $200 for this collection. Amazon continuously have the best price for this set at nicely below $200.

What are the Handles Like?

The handles are riveted on so they’re quite strong and created from 18/10 stainless steel. But the greatest thing is that the metal has been coated with silicon which means they are soft and comfortable to hold. You will never have to keep reaching for the oven mitts!

The handles are actually safe inside the oven so long as it isn’t above 400 degrees. This makes the set amazing for cooking with, simply because you can start a meal on the stove top and then let it finish cooking in the oven. It can make almost everything quicker and easier and you have only one pan to clean!

They’re so non-stick that you don’t actually need to use cooking oil or spray, which helps for making much healthier meals.

What are the Lids Like?

The lids are clear and so useful since you can observe what’s developing with the meals and never have to take the cover off, lose precious heat and fill the cooking area with steam.

The lids are also comprised of break resistant glass so if you ever drop them, you are going to have less possibility ofseeing them shatter.

Weights and Measures

Although the cookware is actually such fine, sturdy quality, they’re lighter in weight than they appear. They’re easy to lift and serve from, even if they’re full. The huge 8 quart pot has two handles so even that isn’t difficult to handle.

The entire set weighs in at approximately 26 pounds.

Is it Dishwasher Safe?

This set isn’t dishwasher safe however that actually isn’t a dilemma because clean-up is so easy it’s amazing. Even if you choose not to clean the cookware immediately and food dries on, it’s very easy to just wipe it out. Nothing sticks to these pans!

What is it Made from?

The KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials range is made from a heavy gauge hard anodized aluminum material. Aluminum ensures that foods cook equally without those frustrating hot spots.

Is it Oven Safe?

This set is oven safe to 400f  including the lids. This can make it great for cooking meals on the stove top and then transferring to the oven to finish the cooking process without having to transfer the contents to a second dish.

Does it Come with a Warranty?

Yes, definitely. Kitchenaid provide a 1 year hassle free replacement warranty.

Things to Consider

This set looks like it might take up a lot of storage space because the lids are domed and the handles are upright. This can be easily overcome by flipping the lid upside down on top of the pot and then stacking the smaller pots on top. This stops the inside of the pans from getting scratched.

You will also need to consider the fact that this is non-stick so even though it is scratch resistant you shouldn’t use metal utensils.
